Care:

Bright indirect light:
Anthurium veitchii needs plenty of soft, indirect light to develop its long, textured leaves with their striking grooved pattern. Always avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the foliage. With good light, new leaves will grow larger and more pronounced.

Regular and controlled irrigation:
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil are dry. It typically needs watering every 5–7 days during warmer months, reducing the frequency in winter. It's important to maintain consistent moisture without waterlogging, as its thick roots can be damaged by excess water.

High humidity:
This Anthurium is very tropical, so it thrives in 70–90% humidity. Misting, using a humidifier, or placing it in a display case is ideal. The higher the humidity, the larger and more textured its leaves will be, maintaining that characteristic "armored" look.

It needs an airy, well-draining substrate designed for aroids: pine bark, coconut fiber, perlite, and a little sphagnum moss. Its epiphytic roots need plenty of air to thrive. With time and proper care, it can produce enormous leaves that hang like true sculptures.
