Baobab Adenium

Care:

Very abundant light:
The baobab tree needs plenty of light to thrive. Ideally, it should be placed in a location where it receives bright, indirect light or even a few hours of gentle sunlight each day. If the light is insufficient, its growth will be very slow and it will tend to weaken.

Moderate watering during warm season:
Water when the top 3–4 cm of soil are completely dry. In spring and summer, it usually needs watering every 7–10 days, always avoiding waterlogging. In autumn and winter, it goes dormant and may even lose its leaves: during this period, watering should be reduced to a minimum.

Low humidity:
Native to arid regions, the baobab does not require high humidity. It prefers dry, well-ventilated environments. Do not mist its leaves.

It requires a very well-draining substrate, ideally a cactus-type mix with gravel or perlite. It grows slowly, forming a thick trunk that acts as a water reservoir. If it loses its leaves in winter, this is completely normal: they will sprout back stronger in spring.
