Ficus Ginseng

Care:

Bright indirect light:
The Ficus Ginseng thrives in well-lit spaces with soft, abundant light. It tolerates some gentle direct sunlight, but avoid the strongest hours to prevent its leaves from burning. With good light, it will maintain dense foliage and a vigorous trunk.

Moderate and constant watering:
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil are dry. Watering every 7–10 days is usually sufficient during warm weather and slightly less frequently in winter. Excess water can cause leaf drop, so it's important to ensure the soil drains well and never becomes waterlogged.

Normal ambient humidity:
It adapts perfectly to the typical humidity of a home. If the environment is very dry, you can lightly mist its leaves, but it's not essential. It loves being in well-ventilated spaces, away from strong drafts.

It prefers a fertile, well-draining substrate, ideally a potting mix for green plants with some perlite. If grown as a bonsai, it needs light, regular pruning to maintain its compact shape. Its thick trunk and aerial roots will develop over time, giving it its characteristic sculptural appearance.
