Care:

Bright indirect light:
The Monstera deliciosa needs bright, indirect light to develop its iconic holes and slits in its leaves. It tolerates partial shade, but in brighter areas (without direct sunlight) it will grow faster, with large, well-perforated leaves.

Moderate watering:
Water when the top 3–4 cm of soil are dry. It typically needs water every 7–10 days in warm weather and less frequently in winter. It prefers deep but infrequent watering, always avoiding waterlogging. Its roots are strong but sensitive to overwatering.

Medium-high humidity:
It thrives in environments with 60% humidity or higher. You can mist its leaves, use a humidifier, or place it near other plants. With good humidity, new leaves will grow larger and with more pronounced fenestrations.

It prefers a well-aerated and draining substrate, ideal for aroids: a mix of potting soil for green plants with perlite, coconut fiber, and some bark. It's a natural climber, so it will appreciate a moss support or a structure to lean on. With good conditions, it will grow vigorously and spectacularly.
