Care:

Moderate indirect light:
The Zamioculcas Raven adapts well to spaces with soft light or even partial shade. However, if you want to enhance the dark, glossy color of its new leaves—which emerge green and turn black over time—it's ideal to place it in a bright area out of direct sunlight.

Spaced watering:
Water only when the soil is completely dry, always checking the top 3–4 cm of the substrate. It usually needs watering every 2–3 weeks, increasing slightly in summer and reducing in winter. It is very sensitive to overwatering: it's better to underwater than overwater.

Normal ambient humidity:
It doesn't require particularly humid environments. It stays perfect with typical household humidity. If the environment is very dry, you can lightly mist it occasionally, but it's not essential.

The Zamioculcas prefers a very well-draining substrate to prevent waterlogging. A potting mix for green plants combined with perlite or sand is ideal. Its growth is slow but steady: each new shoot will appear green and darken to its characteristic elegant black hue.
